Mark 2:22
"And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins, and both the
wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, he pours new wine into new wineskins."
When we were given this new group, I was asking the Lord how can we be different for the Lord, what is our
calling as a cg. How can we not stay in our comfort zone as an individual and as a cg. Only recently this verse
revealed to me how the Lord want to prepare this cg.
To some of us ,and cell members, we have been walking into cg meeting in and out weeks after weeks
sometime without feeling the excitement anymore. Can anyone remember any situations in our lives declaring
what God (The Almighty) can do with miracle and at the same time also "believing" He can only do it the way
(we sometime call it calculated risks) we (the children) know how?
Lord want us to be the new wineskin for Him. Only new wineskin can contain new wine and God will be the
new wine that pour into us. Sometime He will not pour into us because He knows that we (Old wineskin) are
not ready to contain Him (not ready for His new approaches.)
To be different for the Lord, firstly, we have to give our time to the Lord, to seek Him for direction.
When our lives are filled with the Spirit then the cell group will be "spirited" We need the Holy spirit to fill every
cg meeting and when He call us, He will also provide the way beyond our understanding. This to me will add an
element of excitement and surprises to a so predictable life. I believe God really wants to teach us new
things but only when we're ready to trust His approach. Let this new millennium serve as a springboard to
leap us and cg into a year of spirit filled excitement.
